This site exists to answer one question properly: what does Whataburger actually cost, and what is in it? We track 84 menu items, 1,201 restaurants and 17 states, and we refresh the data every week so the answer stays current.
Why This Site Exists
Menu information online is usually stale. Aggregator sites copy prices once and leave them for three years, forum threads argue over numbers nobody can verify, and the official app needs a location set before it shows a single price. If you just want to know what a Whataburger costs before you drive over, that is more work than it should be.
We built this site to fix that for one chain, properly. Every price on every page is read from Whataburger own ordering system rather than typed in by hand, every calorie figure is calculated from the ingredient data behind each item, and every location comes from the official store directory. When the source changes, the site changes with it on the next weekly rebuild.

How We Get Our Data
Prices come from Whataburger public ordering system, read at a reference restaurant in San Antonio, Texas. That reference matters: Whataburger prices vary by market, so a single consistent source produces numbers that are comparable across the entire menu rather than a mix of markets that cannot be compared to each other.
Nutrition is calculated the same way Whataburger own system calculates it, by adding up the ingredients in each item default build. That means the calorie count for a Whataburger reflects the mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions that come on it as standard. Change the build and the number changes, which is exactly why we ship a calculator rather than a single figure.
Locations, hours and store photos come from the official Whataburger location directory, including per day opening hours, drive thru schedules and holiday notes. Where a store publishes no hours, we leave the field blank instead of filling it with a guess.
The whole site rebuilds automatically every week. The date shown on each page is the date that page data was last refreshed. It is generated by the build, not typed in, so it cannot drift away from reality.

For anything official, including customer service, order problems, franchising, careers and corporate matters, go directly to whataburger.com. We cannot help with orders, refunds, gift card issues or employment, and we never collect payment for anything sold by the restaurant.
Who Runs This
This site is maintained by a small editorial team that builds and runs restaurant information resources. We do not publish invented staff biographies or stock photo authors, because a fake byline would undercut the only thing this site is for: accurate, checkable data.
The work is mostly engineering rather than writing. Data collection, price refreshes and the weekly rebuild are automated. Editorial work goes into the guides, the recipes and the explanations that surround the numbers.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes. A store closes, a price shifts in one market before the rest, an item rotates off the menu mid week. If you spot something inaccurate, tell us through the contact page and we will fix it in the next rebuild. Corrections are free, welcome, and the fastest way this site improves.
