What This Policy Covers

This policy explains what happens to information when you visit WhataburgerMenuNearMe.us. It covers the whole site: menu pages, location pages, the calculators, the blog and the comment sections.

We have written it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.

Information You Give Us

There are two places where you can choose to send us information. The first is the comment form, which asks for a display name and your comment text. The name is optional; leave it blank and the comment posts as Guest. We do not ask for an email address to comment.

The second is the contact page, where you can email us about a correction or a question. That email reaches our inbox with whatever you chose to include in it. We use it to answer you and to fix the issue, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

We never ask for payment details, addresses or identity documents. Nothing on this site is for sale, and any page that appears to request payment for Whataburger products is not us.

Information Collected Automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting and analytics tools record standard technical data when a page loads: the page requested, approximate location at city level, browser and device type, referring site and timestamps. This is aggregate traffic data used to understand which pages are useful and which are broken.

We do not build user profiles, we do not attempt to identify individual visitors, and we do not sell data to anyone.

Cookies and Local Storage

The site uses local browser storage for features you actively use: saving a meal plan in the planner, remembering that you have posted a comment recently, and keeping calculator state while you are on the page. This information stays in your browser and is never sent to us.

Advertising and analytics partners may set their own cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will continue to work: menus, prices, locations and the calculators do not depend on cookies.

Advertising

This site is supported by advertising, which may include Google AdSense. Advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site.

You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com, or through aboutads.info for other participating networks. Opting out does not remove ads, it changes how they are chosen.

Advertising has no influence on our content. We do not accept payment for placement, reviews or coverage of specific items.

Third Party Services We Use

Comments are stored with Supabase, a hosted database provider. A comment record contains the display name you chose, the comment text, the page it belongs to and the time it was posted.

Comment forms display a Cloudflare Turnstile widget, which helps reduce automated spam. Map tiles on location pages are served by OpenStreetMap. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Each of these providers operates under its own privacy policy.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through a comment, contact us and we will remove it.

Your Choices and Rights

You can browse the entire site without providing any information. You can comment without giving a name. You can clear local storage and cookies at any time through your browser.

If you posted a comment and want it removed, or you want to know what information we hold about a message you sent us, email [email protected] and we will handle it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA, including access, correction and deletion. We honour those requests regardless of where you are.

Data Retention and Security

Comments remain published until removed by you or by us. Emails are kept while they are relevant to an ongoing correction and then deleted. Aggregate analytics data is retained by the analytics provider under its own schedule.

The site is served over HTTPS. No online service can promise perfect security, but we keep the attack surface small: there are no user accounts, no passwords and no payment processing on this site.

Independence

WhataburgerMenuNearMe.us is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Whataburger Restaurants LLC. Information you send Whataburger through their own app or website is covered by their privacy policy, not this one.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will be summarised here rather than buried in the text.
